------REVIEW UPDATE OF 1/9/2012--------
The materials are sub par. I've noticed several companies advertising a screen cover that they say has some hi tech adhesive on the back with leaves no residue when removing, goes on just like a sticker, etc. It's a semi rigid plastic and, after a while, it gets so scratched that it affects clarity of the screen in daylight. Also, after heavy use my fingers ceased to slide on the surface making typing with swipe or any other "sliding" maneuver less precise and many more errors. I took it off and threw it away. Seeking a quality, polyurethane cover.... wish me luck. Don't recommend this except for super light users/purse keepers.
It also says in some ads that it's made out of PET material.. That's what plastic soda bottles are made of. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PET_bottle_recycling We all know what a well used plastic bottle looks like, and you can't see through the worn spots...
------REVIEW UPDATE of 12/15/2011--------
On top of all that I wrote down before, the film scratches easily and has easily shown heavy wear in the two or three weeks I have had it installed. in all fairness, I am a heavy "power" user. My wife's has held up fine but she hardly uses her phone. If you are a light duty user and not overly concerned with a perfect fit/look then this will probably be just fine and adequate. If your use is more similar to mine, keep looking for a better quality film.
------------ End of update ------
It's not the greatest skin I've seen. Phantom skins for instance has a film that is basically helicopter blade tape, a clear 3m polyurethane material that is flexible, very clear and much more durable. This film is almost rigid, it appears to be a harder plastic as opposed to a polyurethane film which would be much more durable. Basically this is a semi rigid plastic sheet that comes with a protective layer of film over the front and back, both of them with a numbered sticker tab installed for ease of use.
Of note is that this screen protector doesn't really seem to have much in the way of adhesive on it, hence the reason they can advertise it will come off without residue. To it's detriment, it just kind of plops down on to the glass of the phone. You can see where the film contacts the glass as it looks like there is water under the film, but it doesn't tolerate movement to be positioned just right. This is a problem because;
1- following the directions, which say to remove 1/2 inch of the protective film where the tab is, it says to then press down with a credit card as you continue removing the backing film off. A few problems arise from this part...
a. the backing film doesn't want to bend and begins to lift the film back off the glass
b. once down, you can't readjust the film without pulling it off the screen. so .....
c. you get one shot at it or you risk putting lint and dust or fingerprints or whatever else on there, and
D. I only got three hands.... no wait, that's TWO HANDS!
It would be wiser and I recommend you to place another tab on opposite endof the backing film (microphone end of the screen), pull the backing film off till halfway down the screen then cut it in half carefully, being sure not to contact the back of the film with scissors or anything else, leaving only the top half or the bottom half of the screen's worth of backing film in place. Make sure to leave the tab on there for the future removal step. Then place the side with half of the backing removed on the scree in the perfect spot, press down with a credit card or some other tool...
... then while holding the side you just installed on the glass, lift away the half of the film with the backing still on it, grab the tab, remove it and VOILA, perfection. This will be much easier work than if you removed the 1/2 inch as in the directions said and tried to pull a rabbit out of a hat.
good luck.

The screen protector does it's job. I have had it in my pocket next to my other phone/keys/change, and it has protected the screen brilliantly without even getting very scratched up. I give it 4 stars because it does it's job, but not 5 stars because no matter how sure you are that the screen is dust-free during application of the screen protector, there will always be two or three dust particles that will stick to the statically charges screen protector before it can be placed on the screen. Perhaps this is user error, but I don't have a vacuum sealed room in my home. 4 stars it is, great product for the money.
